James Cagney, Horst Buchholz, Pamela Tiffin, Arlene Francis

During the Cold War in West Berlin, just before the Berlin Wall was built, an executive for Coca-Cola is put in charge of the daughter of his boss, a situation that could ruin his career. A political satire of an international crisis, the anti-Russian film was considered controversial when it was released. Variety called it “a fast-paced, high-pitched, hard-hitting, lighthearted farce crammed with topical gags and spiced with satirical overtones.” This was Cagney’s penultimate film role until Ragtime (1981).
