Montauk Chamber of Commerce and Visit Montauk’s Fall Fest Returns for Its 45th Year, October 10th & 11th
The weekend ushers in the season with family-friendly fun, live entertainment, and its famed Chowder Contest
The Montauk Chamber of Commerce and Visit Montauk’s beloved Fall Fest is back for its 45th year, bringing the community together Saturday and Sunday, October 10th and 11th, 11am-5pm on the Montauk Town Green, for a fun-filled celebration of autumn in Montauk.
One of the hamlet’s unofficial summer season-closing weekends, Fall Fest has become an annual tradition for locals and visitors alike. The gathering offers a chance to enjoy the beauty of Montauk in the fall while continuing to support the businesses at the heart of the destination and celebrating the community.
This year’s festival will feature many of the vendors from the Montauk Farmer’s Market – one of the largest ongoing initiatives of the Chamber – as well as seasonal activities, delicious local food, live entertainment, beer and wine, and copious amounts of family-friendly fun. The event is also expanding its fall harvest theme with pumpkins, hay bales, seasonal games, other fall decor and festive photo opportunities throughout the two days. Children will have lots to enjoy, including pumpkin decorating, fall crafts, games, bounce houses, and other hands-on activities; a face painter will also add to the enjoyment.
A highlight of the weekend will once again be Saturday’s popular clam chowder contest, where attendees can sample and enjoy one of the quintessential flavors of fall on the East End.
“We’re thrilled to bring Fall Fest back for its 45th year and to celebrate this wonderful Montauk tradition with our community,” says Rachael Corsi, Executive Director of the Montauk Chamber of Commerce and Visit Montauk. “This year, we’re really leaning into everything we love about fall — pumpkins, harvest activities, great local food, music and, most importantly, spending time together. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience Montauk in a different season and support the people that make our destination so special.”
Fall Fest is part of the larger East End autumn experience, as visitors make their way through the region for seasonal destinations and activities. With stops such as Hank’s Pumpkintown and Wölffer Estate drawing visitors throughout the autumn months, Montauk offers the perfect final destination for a weekend celebrating the season.
“Fall is such a special time on the East End, and Fall Fest is a great way to cap off that experience in Montauk,” says Corsi. “Whether you’re coming for the food, the activities, the music or simply to enjoy a beautiful fall weekend by the ocean, there’s something for everyone.”
