R.I.P. Helen Giustino

10/5/1931 – 6/29/2023

Helen is survived by her sister Julie Reo, and her son Joseph, his wife Nancy, and their daughter Helen, and her son Kenneth Giustino and his wife Susan Diviney-Giustino as well as her step-grandchildren Kayla Uhl, Kara Studenski, and Corey Cook, and her step-great grandson Milo Studenski.

Born in the Bronx, Daughter of Agnes and Charles Miller, Helen was the third of five children. Her two older brothers Joseph and Albert passed many years ago, while her younger brother Tommy passed a moth prior to Helen.

While raising her family in Westchester, Helen worked for Citibank and earned her way up through the company, starting as a teller and being promoted to Assistant VP in 1988.

During her younger days, she and Joe, along with her sister Julie and brother Tommy and their spouses, would go to the Casinos in Atlantic City, and took many cruises together.  In addition, they would spend their winters at their condo in Pompano Beach, Florida where they had many friends and good times.

In 2019, Helen decided to sell her home in Westchester and move to Montauk to live with Kenny and Sue. She spent her last years meeting new friends and enjoying her time without the burden of managing her own home. After a cancer diagnosis in 2021, she fought a good fight for two years, ending her time with us at home here in Montauk with the support of East End Hospice.  We will always cherish our special times shared, miss her sense of humor, the loving way she interacted with family and friends, and her smiling face.
