Springs Library is introducing their second summer show, Point of View: Small Works at the Library, curated by mother/daughter team Andrea McCafferty and Sienna Hirschman. ‘Modern Appliances’ by Alison Sieffer

If everybody had the same take on everything the world would paint a pretty dull picture.  From the contrasts comes the composition.  Take two women, years apart in age but years together in life.   Different generations with different experiences but with the same appreciation of the creative spirit.  How would these two minds come together to curate a show of artists that is not only cool and sexy and humorous and beautiful but also meaningful?  Mother/daughter team, Andrea McCafferty and Sienna Hirschman, don’t always see eye to eye, but they had a meeting of the minds to put a collective of Springs’ artists on display in a most surprising way. Perhaps that old adage is true.  The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree. And, for this exhibit, that’s a good thing.

A portion of the proceeds is donated to the Springs Historical Society.
