Kiwanis Club of East Hampton Inducts New Member

The Kiwanis Club of East Hampton inducted a new member at its December 3rd meeting at The Palm. Lauren Nichols, who was sponsored into the club by Past President Henry Uihlein, is director of the Amagansett Free Library.

The Kiwanis Club of East Hampton, which meets bi-weekly, holds several events during the year to raise money for children in the local community. Annual events include the Montauk Mercury Grand Slam Fishing Tournament and the Montauk Seafood Festival (with the Montauk Friends of Erin) at Uihlein’s Marina and Montauk Marine Basin, Family Fun Day at the American Legion in Amagansett, The Santa Parade in East Hampton Village, Christmas Tree Sales at The Bayberry in Amagansett, the annual Winter Jam, and Easter Egg Coloring at cittanuova in East Hampton. All proceeds from these events provide funds for scholarships, field trips, youth programs and other enrichment projects. The Kiwanis Club is always looking for new members.
