Celebrating 60 Aboard the Ebb Tide

by Sue Giustino

On a beautiful Sunday evening in July, after a weekend of celebrating our daughter’s wedding party [with our last October COVID restricted family members], we boarded the EBB Tide for yet another celebration. My brother turned 60 and we sailed into the sunset to celebrate!

After a day of fishing, the crew of the Ebb Tide cleaned her up nice to accommodate our group of family and friends. We decorated and brought refreshments, then enjoyed a two-hour cruise around the jetty, into Fort Pond Bay to the north side of Napeague and Gardner’s Island. The sunset didn’t disappoint, and the crew- Captain Jake Nessel, owner Anthony and his crewmate daughter Angela were friendly and accommodating.

EBB TIDE II is a 70 ft “Gillikin” party boat with twin diesel engines. It’s fast and comfortable, able to accommodate 75 people with a large heated cabin and wide roomy decks, and has clean separate bathrooms and a full-service galley.
