The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Networking Event at the East End Arts nearby on Main Street in Riverhead, on March 1. There were about 40 people from different businesses there, enjoying wine and snacks provided by the arts group. Their Members Show was called, “Well Red,” as each painting incorporated something red in it.

Suzy Beebe, of Ronny’s Jewelry in Patchogue, and a Riverhead resident, said she thinks it’s a great way to meet other business people in the area.

East End Arts, at 133 East Main Street in Riverhead, has many year-round shows and functions at their two galleries, according to their Executive Director, Diane Burke. This center also has a school of art and of music, with classes also in theater, photography and podcasts.

“We are happy to have our monthly networking event at this great art show,” said Liz O’Shaughnessy, Executive Director of the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce. She said in April, they will be meeting at another Riverhead business, “Island Federal” in the Staples parking lot complex on Route 58.

O’Shaughnessy said she is happy to see some new businesses moving into Riverhead, like the new “School of Rock” on West Main Street here. They held a ribbon cutting ceremony there in March.
