It was a wonderful turn out for ARF’s 40th anniversary celebration. Held at the Adoption Center in Wainscott, over three hundred guests, volunteer veterinarians, dignitaries and various guests attended the event. Joining in the day’s events were Assemblyman Fred Thiele, Suffolk County Legislature Jay Schneiderman, East Hampton Supervisor Larry Cantwell, Southampton Supervisor Anna Throne Holst, East Hampton Village Mayor Paul Rickenbach and Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley.
Under bright sunny skies the morning activities were filled with games, contests and delicious treats for all that attended. Proclamations were given by elected officials and it was a terrific event seeing all the former ARF pets coming to visit with their new families. Since ARF was founded more than 20,000 animals have found loving homes. Come visit this state of the art facility on 22 acres in Wainscott and volunteer, donate supplies or even better yet, adopt a dog or cat! You can see available animals on ARF’s website.
