Montauk Firehouse Big Bucks Bonanza – September

After another fantastic summer in Montauk that saw a host of fabulous events, it seems time flew by in the blink of any eye! Some of the biggest highlights were the March St. Patrick’s Day events, then the Montauk Music Festival and later on Montauk Music Festival Rocks the Lighthouse, with a surprise performance by legendary singer, Paul Simon! From June through September each week was packed with events hosted by different entities such as the Chamber of Commerce, the Montauk Playhouse, the Town of East Hampton and numerous civic and charitable organizations and houses of worship.

Of course we can’t forget the fishing tournaments, surfing contests, cycling and marathon events. Music always draws a crowd and scores of restaurants provide musical entertainment for their guest’s pleasure and these continue well into the autumn, too. Here are a few pictures of the wonderful attractions that took place as summer was winding down. Keep reading The Montauk Sun to see what the rest of this year holds in store!
