Fantastic ARF Stroll to the Sea

Stroll to the Sea walkers: Grant holding Trinka and Jennifer with Lulu

Each year the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) holders a wonderful autumn event called Stroll to the Sea. Once again this highly successful outing had several hundred dog-owners and their canine companions gather at Mulford Farm in East Hampton to be part of the joyous two-mile walk to the ocean and back, with proceeds benefitting ARF.  When walkers returned to Mulford there were warm donuts, bagels, coffee, apples and snacks for “people” and a multitude of tasty treats for their pets. The rest of the day’s events included free nail clipping, best dog trick contests, dog/companion look alike contests as well as raffle prizes and giveaways.

The well known, highly recognizable ARF Pet Van was also on premises to showcase some of the adorable pets available for adoption. Jamie Berger, Director of Marketing & Communications invites visits to ARF’s website to see pictures of dogs and cats for adoption, information about donating or volunteering to walk a dog.

Azure: Beautiful Azure, with her stunning coat, is a six-year-old Calico, who came to ARF three years ago as a stray through our rescue partner in South Carolina. She can be a bit shy with people but loves other cats and would thrive in a multi-cat home. Please do not overlook this sweet girl who only wants to bond with a family of her own.

Buddy: Brought to ARF from our rescue partner in South Carolina, Buddy is a two-year-old Lab/Boxer mix who loves to run and play. He gets along well with other dogs but does like to chase cats. He is crate-trained and likely housebroken and will be a great addition to an active family.

For more information contact or call 631-537-0400 x203.

All ARF animals are vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines.
