Animals of the Month
BUTTERS: This young, petite, black beauty is known for her cheery disposition! Butters came to ARF through our Operation Cat program with her kittens – Waffle, Pancake and Toast – who have all been adopted. Playful and affectionate, Butters enjoys being cradled like a baby. Whether she is rolling on her back for belly rubs or doing figure eights around your legs, she will get your attention no matter what it takes.
ZEKE: Zeke is a beautiful nine-year-old Spaniel mix who found himself at ARF after his family could no longer care for him. He can be a bit unsure about new people and places, but once he warms up to you, he is a friendly, smart, and lovable boy. Zeke is well-trained. He walks perfectly on a leash, and he is housebroken. Word is he will do just about anything for string cheese!

Lucas: Adoption Update!
While at ARF, Lucas quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite. His story is one of perseverance and survival. You might recall, he and his brother were hit by a car in South Carolina, and while his brother didn’t make it, Lucas fought through his injuries and made a full recovery. Despite his difficult start in life, Lucas is a happy and friendly dog who found his forever home this summer, and is finally living the life he deserves!
We recently received an update from his forever family who wrote, “We wanted to reach out and thank you for finding Lucas for us. We are back in NYC and he has been such a wonderful gift to our family. He is doing well and actually seems to really like city life!”
