DESCRIPTION:USA 250th Series\nSunday\, July 12\, 2026: \nJOHN ADAMS\, VOICE OF THE REVOLUTION\nFeaturing: BOB SPIOTTO\, actor/director \nIn honor of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence\, actor/singer/director Bob Spiotto created John Adams\, Voice of the Revolution\, an original one-man play based on historical documents. He will perform the premier at the Montauk Library on Sunday\, July 12\, 2026 at 3 pm. \nBob Spiotto\nBob Spiotto has appeared at the Montauk Library a number of times. His most recent solo performances at the Montauk Library include the premier of Verrazzano: in His Own Words (2024) in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the explorer’s North Atlantic voyage in 1524. In 2025\, he performed Art Words: The Poetry of Michelangelo in honor of the 550th anniversary of the artist’s birth. \nAs a writer/producer\, Bob Spiotto developed and starred in a number of solo shows based on the lives of distinguished historical figures such as P.T. Barnum\, Giuseppe Garibaldi\, Primo Levi\, Michelangelo\, and Sholom Aleichem.  Bob received outstanding reviews for his direction of the Off-Broadway production\, Harry and Eddie: The Birth of Israel.  His critically acclaimed one-man musical tributes include That’s Amore: A Tribute to Mr. Hollywood Musical – Harry Warren; Shades of Grey: A Musical Tribute to Joel Grey; and Courting the Jester: A Musical Salute to Danny Kaye\, in addition to other one man shows. \nRecently\, Bob earned distinctions for his outstanding performance in a short film entitled 4th Row Center which was selected for inclusion by the 2026 Triborough Film Festival. \n
