On the evening of Saturday, August 28, Music for Montauk’s dynamic, husband and wife, and board of directors, duo, Lilah Gosman, soprano, and Miloš Repickÿ, piano, opened Part 2 of Montauk’s  2021 Summer Series Serenade Program at the beautiful and still being renovated, Fort Pond House, located at the Carol Morrison Park in Montauk.  Part 1 was held at the Montauk Point Lighthouse the evening before, led by Grammy Award winning bassist and band leader Pedro Giraudo who led an ensemble of Afro-Cuban and Afro-Puerto Rican vocal stylings, piano, bass, trombone, and percussion.

This concert, included performances by Kristi Shade, harp, Jessica Meyer, viola, Caleb van der Swaagh, cello, Jessica Fishenfeld, soprano and Catherine Gregory, flute, with works of famous composers such as, Franz Liszt, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Benjamin Britten, Camille Saint-Saéns, Jacques Ibert, Asor Piazzola, Miguel del Aguila and Jessica Meyer, herself.

It was a magical night for the adults and children who celebrated the return of live performances after being absent for more than a year. Listening to classical music with the lake behind us, and the sun setting made it so much more memorable.  Kudos to all the sponsors and performers who helped make it a great success, especially to all the hard, working volunteers.
