A new hair salon opened in Montauk with the same charm that's been around for years.

Pamela Loffreno of the Bronx came to Montauk at 17-years-old and has been serving the community for 29 years. She started out working as a hair stylist at Michael's of Montauk where she met Ada. After a 17 year run, the two moved on to work at Artistic Hair Salon also in Montauk where they have spent the past 12 years working together. Pamela refers to the duo as "soul workers." They have seen Montauk's own mature and grow from styling them for their proms to their weddings with their special touches.

This summer, Pamela, with the help of her husband Joe, just celebrated the grand opening of the appropriately named hair salon, Pamela's New Beginnings located right in the middle of town.

Pamela, Ada and their right hand gal, Maria who they refer to as, "the angel who flies around the salon," make your time at the salon not a chore, but a wonderful experience with their inviting environment and friendly staff. Each customer is treated special from making their appointment with Maria, to being offered a cookie by her while they are being styled. The salon specializes in hair coloring, foil work, cuts and styles. They also offer long lasting manicures and pedicures by Marina in a spa like oasis. These vibrant ladies will assist you with their talents whether you are getting ready for a special occasion or just a night out on the town.

Owner Pamela's motto is "it's not just about making you look beautiful, it’s about making you feel beautiful," she goes on to say, "everyone who enters Pamela's New Beginnings is very special."
