Husband and wife team, Jan and Chet, are the owners of O’Murphy’s.  They say they are lucky to have long time professional staff that are dedicated to making each guest feel at home and comfortable when they come to O’Murphy’s. “Come in as a stranger, leave as a friend” is their motto. “We love Montauk and truly enjoy working in the restaurant, meeting new guests and welcoming our regulars.  Involved in every process of running this family owned business, this is the first thing visitors notice when they come into this friendly atmosphere.

A popular destination for visitors and locals, it is the place to go when you are hungry for home cooking, generous portions and comfortable surroundings. Right around the corner from White’s Department Store, look for the Tudor façade and glass windows of this distinct landmark building. The menu is extensive and many new entrees have been added.  Coming up with the menu selections are a fine team of chefs, with Shane Heneghen running the kitchen as lead chef and Chefs Tato Estrella and Giovanni Garcia. Caroline and Kori are behind the bar pouring Guinness beers and fantastic drink concoctions. Servers, “Scottish” Jackie, Carol, Jen, Jackie T. and Sylvia are there with Marisol and Barry doing bus complete the staff at this popular eatery with its fine tuned, eager to please, waiting to impress visitors with their top-notch service and expertise. Guests should come hungry, because the portions are quite generous, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! It is a winning menu all around and every member in your dining party will have a favorite.

Popular for Irish fare, O’Murphy’s menu is varied, offering a tempting choice of lunch and dinner specials.  Lunch specials start at $8.95 and are available daily.  Consider, too their “Shepherd’s Pie”, Lamb Stew with fork tender succulent pieces of lamb and classic burgers and a long list of house specialties. For mussel lovers, try their mussels and garlic bread at $14.95 and a HUGE portion is placed in front of you! For larger groups, order several appetizers, so not to miss a one!  You can order from either menu during the dinner hours and not be restricted to complete dinner choices.  Patrons are looking forward to the new lower priced Monday night special of $15.00 per person.  Added now are several homemade ravioli dishes including one with over-stuffed lobster served in a chunky lobster sauce. Coming to Montauk is the perfect opportunity to enjoy fantastic fresh fish dishes and O’Murphy’s offers pan- seared tuna, served rare over a mesculan salad with ponzu sauce or grilled salmon served as you like it.

Don’t pass up a chance to try one of the amazing Martini’s and other bar specials that also makes O’Murphy’s the perfect place to stop in with friends after a busy day. O’Murphy’s also has a children’s menu for “Wee Folk” so families are more than welcome to come by for the hearty home-cooking and great hospitality. They also have take-out orders for those on the go and parties for groups. There is an extensive selection of Irish and American beers, and a host of other beverages, including a page long list of Martini specialties.  Wine is available by the glass or bottle. Try their Guinness on tap or any of the fruit, chocolate, berry, or delectable Martini’s creations, which are perfect for a sizzling summer day.

Old world cooking, as mom or grandma used to make, is available right here in the middle of town!  The knockout dessert selections are not to be missed and when I dine out, dessert is ALWAYS a must!  How does Bailey’s Heathbar ice cream cake or Tiramisu Cheesecake sound?  These are only two of the tempting end of the meal offerings at O’Murphy’s. Bet you cannot leave without trying one of them! While you are looking for a great meal ender, peek at their coffee list. They have an amazing selection including Irish coffee, Dutch coffee and a number of exotic, international concoctions to delight your taste buds.

During July and August O’Murphy’s has karaoke every Saturday night at 10 pm with Jim and Nanci. On Sunday, starting at 6 pm, Michael Dann, vocalist and acoustic guitarist will perform for O’Murphy’s guests. O’Murphy’s Pub is open year round, every day for lunch and dinner, except on Tuesday’s only dinner is served. Dinner is served every day until 10 pm and on Friday and Saturday, it is served until 11 pm. Take out is available. (Great option for families in a hotel and young children are already sleeping or if you are entertaining at home.) Group parties or functions can be arranged.
