On April 18, 2009, the Sonny Garguilo Riding Center for Kids hosted a very unique benefit event...”America Rides for Autism".

Sonny Garguilo, founder of Hooves for Hope, rode his once wild Mustang, America, for 140 mile, 6 day fund raising adventure across Long Island.

The ride commenced at the Lighthouse in Montauk Point and ended in Sands Point, NY. The proceeds from this event will assist in opening the doors to the Hooves for Hope Program (an equine-assisted riding program for Children with Autism) and create more awareness of this devastating lifelong disorder.
