Mark your calendar for August 8th at 7pm, one of the best nights of the season! Presented by the Southampton Lions Club this musical step back in time is one of the premier musical events on the East End.  Each year Lion’s Club President, Bob Grisnik, and his team of Lion’s Club members strive to outdo themselves with the groups performing at these concerts. Each year’s concert virtually continues to top the previous one! It’s a fabulous evening of doo-wop favorites and good old rock and roll!

Another outstanding show is scheduled for this year, featuring Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge  - “Sixteen Candles” “The worst that could happen”,  Kenny Vance and the Planotones - “Looking for an Echo” and The Vogues -  “Turn around Look at Me” and “5 O’Clock World”.   Weather permitting; there are classic cars on display in the front parking lot starting at 5 pm.  Gather up the family; invite your friends for this not-to-be-missed, wonderful evening of memories and great music!  This concert is one of the Lion’s Club most successful fundraiser, with profits from the sale of tickets going to causes the Lion’s are known for, which mainly is helping people with vision impairments.  The Lions works vigorously to help the handicapped by buying glasses for children whose parents can’t afford them, donating large print books to the Rodgers Library, giving scholarships, buying e ye equipment for Southampton Hospital and many other worthy activities.
