A mystical setting on the luxurious beach front of Gurney’s Inn and Spa Resort was the perfect spot for a summertime fashion show. Festooned with red and black balloons and a white carpeted fashion runway, this VIP event had excitement buzzing all over it! With the ocean as a back drop and a full moon slowing appearing during the dusk time presentation, enthusiastic guests were in a celebratory mood at this initial introduction of a Montauk fashion show. Designer and founder of Don Fashions, PJ Monte, unveiled his Don.Fashions along with Lu Berry, who opened the show with her swimwear line. Columbian born, living in South Hampton, Lu Berry’s line showed adorable young models in attractive bikinis and carrying fantastic tote bags and purses.

Don Fashions included an original line of jeans, sweatshirts, hoodies and tee shirts, worn by both male and female models. His Don.Couture line is designed for women and during the show the models wore his creative tanks, tee’s, shirts and jeans. The high end Don.Denim was a funky collection of jeans to go with the stylish tops. A trio of lively drummers welcomed each model out on the runway and provided additional spark to the sound system playing in the background. When the young models came out on the run way, Don Fashion friends and admirers could be heard offering rounds of applause with the Don creations that came before them. The youthful designer, PJ Monte, seemed to have stuck a happy cord with the young people in attendance that eagerly showed their approval of his line! After the fashion show a reception was held in one of the Gurney’s Inn Ballrooms. Set up like a New York City nightclub, guests entered the room via a red carpet, complete with interview back drop, lounge area. A DJ, spinning disks completed the scene and the party lasted for hours with all the guests at this VIP event having a wonderful evening of fun, mingling and meeting the designers and seeing their designs up close.
