August Birthdays

It’s hard to believe that Labor Day is here. Where did summer go? Cooler nights and leaves of gold and brown found on the ground are a dead giveaway of fall to come. Locals and tourists alike seem to be getting used to wearing masks around town and are avoiding each other as much as they can to stay healthy.

Hopefully, August birthday celebrants Thomas Butler, Renea Farr, Leon Day, Anna Shvedowsky, James (Buddy) Burke, Antonio Corvi and their peers enjoyed the beautiful summer weather Montauk was blessed with in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic. I am sure everyone is missing their friends playing mahjong, poker, bingo, dominoes and doing chair yoga exercises and attending wellness and meditation classes.

No one, except for the young at hearts, appreciate well balanced meals and delicious birthday cakes served more than anyone.  Let’s hope and pray that the Senior Center as well as other Montauk businesses will reopen with fewer restrictions soon.  We can thank the front liners and volunteers in person for getting us through this difficult time.

Happy Birthday Tom, Renea, Leon, Anna, Buddy and Tony. May you have many more to come!
