Super Saturday 17

On July 26th Kelly Ripa and Donna Karen hosted the Ovarian Cancer Re search Fund’s world famous designer garage sale, Super Saturday 17 at Nova’s Ark in Watermill. Sponsored by QVC, the event took place from 1:00PM – 6:00PM with a spe cial preview hour beginning at noon. Super Saturday 17 is OCRF’s fun-filled, family-oriented daylong fundraiser, com plete with a one-of-a-kind designer garage sale, kids’ carnival and activities, a luxury raffle and gourmet treats. Once dubbed “the Rolls-Royce of garage sales” by The New York Times, the most anticipated element of Super Saturday is the fashion garage sale. Merchandise from nearly 200 prominent participants in cluded Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, The ory, Elie Tahari, Diane von Furstenberg, a fresh summer hairstyle and enjoyed psychic readings with Betsy Wahmann. Attendees stopped by the Rolls-Royce photo booth to further support OCRF. For each shared photo, Rolls-Royce will make a donation to OCRF.

An on-site was a luxury raffle with prizes from designers Lorraine Schwartz, and Dolce & Gabbana along with experi ences donated by The New York Football Giants, Trump National Golf Club and Fly wheel Sports, among others.

For children at Super Saturday 17, there was rides, games and arts and crafts galore.Super Saturday was created in 1998 by Donna Karan and the late Liz Tilberis, beloved Editor-In-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar and President of OCRF. Donna Karan has sponsored and hosted the event since its founding, and Kelly Ripa has been a host since 2004. Beginning in 2007, sponsor QVC has broadcasted live at the event. In addition to incredible shopping, OCRF’s Super Saturday 17 offered atten dees an afternoon of activities and indulgences.
